Waterra Sponsors Bristol's Teddy Bear Hospital

Teddy Bear Hospital Bristol - Sponsored by Waterra

Waterra has sponsored the Teddy Bear Hospital in Bristol since 2007. The scheme is organised and managed by medical students at Bristol University who hold surgeries for children at primary schools, young scout groups and other activities where young children meet.

“The aim of the workshops is to help children overcome any fears they may have about hospitals by using their own teddy bears as patients,” said Faye Boundy of the Teddy Bear Hospital Committee. “We are extremely grateful to Waterra for their generous contribution which will be used to update equipment and allow us to expand the project.”

Flashing Hula Hoops from Waterra Tubing

Flashing Hula Hoops. Waterra HDPE pump tubing is being used by dancers

Waterra HDPE inertial pump tubing has recently found a new market outlet - as the main component in a range of Hula Hoops! Our High Flow tubing is just the right size and material grade required for a new range of Hula Hoops containing flashing lights. The professional "Flashing Light-Up Psy Hoops" are used by dancers to enhance their performance in the dark.

“The tubing is rigid enough to protect the lights inside whilst being sufficiently flexible to coil into a hoop shape” said Norbert Kalman, who makes them. “We are really pleased with the tubing.”
