Waterra is delighted to be a sponsor of the 10th Annual UK Groundwater Forum on May 14th at the Natural History Museum in London.
Entitled "Groundwater: a 2020 vision. Challenges for the future" this year's conference includes the participation of an eminent set of speakers including Denis Peach (British Geological Survey/Chair of UK Groundwater Forum Steering Committee) and Jonathon Porritt (Programme Director of Forum for the Future and Chair of the UK Sustainable Development Commission).
From a Waterra perspective the forum places a great deal of emphasis on the need for accurate, on-going monitoring to support the management and sustainability of our groundwater resources. This applies to both the overall supply and the quality of groundwater, which is clearly under threat from a variety of pollution and contaminant threats.
